"G" Rated Formatting For Amazon Kindle, with Editing/Proofing Service Available


I am an Amazon Kindle published author and would be pleased to format your "G" and "PG" rated work into the Kindle requirement. I offer a quality service for a simple and modest fee.

I work in the Kindle recommended formats of Microsoft Word (doc. / .docx), and JPEG for images.
I will also create your book cover and format your book of Art/Photo images if you would like.

PRICING AND PAYMENTS

My price calculations are based upon the word count in the Microsoft Word Program. It takes approximately 600 12-point Times New Roman font words to fill an 8.5 x 11" page, so my "per page" fees will reflect those numbers. Payments are to be made via Pay Pal prior to service rendered.

This is the structure for a Kindle book:

• Table of Contents (designed with active links to chapters, [creating the active TOC is part of my service.])
• Dedication
• Preface
• Prologue
• Content of your book
• About the Author
• Other works by the Author

Your material will need to be submitted to me in that order and in Microsoft Word doc/docx format. In shorter books of 50 pages or less, I recommend placing your preface page after the title page so it can be seen in the Amazon Kindle bookstore preview. The preview is approximately 10% of your total book file.

Note: Picture books that have no defined chapters are not required to have a Table of Contents.

• 1 HTML master file of your book
• 1 MOBI file of your book for viewing and giving approval
• 1 Zipped and ready to upload file of your book
• 1 Cover – formatted and ready to upload

Charges are based on the word count, not the page count.

My pricing structure continues the same beyond these numbers based upon the 600 words per page estimation.

Note – In instances of poetry and image books, the page count will likely exceed the word count. The charge for service will still be set according to the word count along with image formatting fees.
 
IMAGES:

I will format JPEG images and your pre-designed JPEG cover according to the Kindle guidelines for $5.00 each.

COVER DESIGN:

I will design your cover for $40.00. Simply submit the cover image in JPEG format and give me an idea of your cover dream. I recommend that you scroll through books at the Kindle store and select one or two for me to use as a reference of text style and placement. I will give 2 revisions.

IN REGARDS TO THE USE OF PUBLIC DOMAIN OR PURCHASED IMAGES:

There are sites online where you can either purchase an image for a very reasonable price or even obtain images for free from a Public Domain site. These images can usually be "Saved as" into JPEG format.
It is important to take note of specifications of author-ship even with public domain images, because many times there are restrictions about the use of an image for a cover, and a requirement to attribute the author's name for the image even though there is no financial charge for the use of the image. Amazon insists that attribution be appropriately given to contributing parties of a work. I will need that information with your submission.

IN REGARDS TO COPYRIGHTING YOUR WORK:

Technically speaking, a work is copyrighted to the creator the moment it is created. Registration of your copyright creates a public and legal acknowledgement of your copyright. It is recommended. Copyrighting most materials can be done online for $35.00 at www.copyright.gov.
If there is no registration of copyright for your submitted material, or if you have not yet received your copyright number you can give me the date of copyright for the Credits and Copyrights page of your book.

TO FORMAT YOUR BOOK FOR PUBLISHING TO KINDLE, YOU WILL NEED TO:

After you have created your free Amazon Author's Account, confirmed your intent to work with me, and we have agreed upon a price for the needs of your project, I will send you a request for pay from Pay Pal. Pay Pal will accept your payment from any mode that you choose. Pay Pal charges a small fee if you use your debit or credit card but no fee if you pay from your free Pay Pal account. These are the steps to getting your work formatted and published.

1. Create an Amazon Author's Account
2. Submit my payment to Pay Pal
3. Submit your material to me in Word (doc/.docx) and JPEG formats
4. Download the free Kindle Previewer
5. Approve the work
6. Upload and publish your book to Amazon Kindle

You will be sent the MOBI file first to view on your Kindle Previewer and approve your book.
I will be happy to provide guidance on filling out the submission pages.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The length of time that it will take for me to format your work will be determined by the needs of your project and how many projects I have in queue. I would expect that most projects should be complete between 1-4 days, and I will be able to give you an estimated time of delivery when we negotiate the deal.

NOTE: Do take time to study the Amazon Kindle Terms of Service, the lending program available through the KDP Select (Kindle Direct Publishing Select) program and it's requirements.
